Brush extensions before shampooing. This can help remove any tangles or knots.
Use a sulfate-free shampoo as sulfate will strip your hair of its natural oils. Without natural oils, your hand-tied extensions won’t stay moisturized at the root.
Wash your hair once or twice a week. Over washing can cause them to wear and tear quickly.
Always blow dry your hair extensions. With heat protectant, blow drying preserves the extension’s longevity because it prevents water from settling in the beads.
Brush often to help the natural fall out of hair and to prevent knots.
Stay away from self tanners as they can alter the tone/color of the extensions.
No purple shampoo, this can leave a blue/purple tint in the extensions.
